Quik Corp designs and manufactures spray equipment, fire units, trailers and custom emergency service vehicles from our facility at Coolum Beach.

We are looking for an experienced, practical equipment builder who can work across both repeat production and custom builds.

This is not just an assembly role. We need someone who can look at what needs to be built, understand how the system needs to work and solve problems as they come up without needing every step worked out for them.

The Role

Depending on workload, you may work across standard production equipment or larger custom vehicle projects.

The work includes:

• Mechanical assembly and equipment fit-out

• Pumps, motors, tanks, valves, hose and fittings

• Plumbing and fluid systems

• Mounting fabricated components and brackets

• Basic 12V electrical fitment

• Measuring, modifying and making components fit properly

• Reading drawings, BOMs and build information

• Identifying build problems and developing practical solutions

• Taking ownership of a build through to completion

Some jobs are well defined and repeatable. Others require you to work out the best way to build or install something.

What We Are Looking For

You will be mechanically strong, practical and comfortable solving problems on the workshop floor.

Ideally you have experience with some combination of:

• Trucks or vehicle body building

• Agricultural or earthmoving machinery

• Spray equipment

• Pumps and pumping systems

• Trailers

• Hydraulic or fluid systems

• Fabrication and welding

• Mechanical fitting

• Caravans or motorhomes

• Custom machinery or equipment manufacture

You don't need to know everything, but you need to be able to work things out.

We value people who can look at a problem, investigate it, develop a sensible solution and keep the job moving.

Trade qualifications are highly regarded but practical capability, mechanical knowledge and demonstrated build experience matter more.
