Job summary

Quik Corp Pty Ltd in Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Fitter & Turner to join our in-house manufacturing team. You will operate CNC lathes and mills, program and set up machines, and produce components that become part of our fire appliances and specialised equipment.

This hands-on role requires reading drawings accurately, meeting tight tolerances, and working to production schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Capable of programming, setting up and operating CNC machinery.
• Ability to produce one-off and small batch components.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

The Role

• Operating CNC lathes and mills
• Programming and setting CNC machinery
• Manufacturing components from technical drawings and specifications
• Producing one-off, small batch and repeat production components
• Checking finished parts against required tolerances and quality standards
• Working to production schedules and required completion dates
• Supporting continuous improvement of machining methods, tooling and setup

Who We Are Looking For

• Has strong CNC machining experience
• Can confidently program, set and operate CNC lathes and mills
• Can read and work accurately from technical drawings
• Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
• Can work independently and plan their own work
• Works well as part of a wider manufacturing team
• Is dependable and able to work to production deadlines
• Has a current driver's licence
