Kingston City Council is seeking an Environment Officer to join the Environmental Planning team. The role reports to the Team Leader Environmental Planning and focuses on communications, community education, and stakeholder engagement in a hybrid setup based at Cheltenham.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in environmental/education roles, and a relevant tertiary qualification, with a pro-rata salary band of $100,968–$110,162 plus superannuation.

Competenze

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage diverse stakeholder needs and work independently or in a team.
• Experience implementing community education and environmental behaviour change programs.
• A tertiary qualification in communications/ community education/ development / environment / sustainability, or similar.
• Previous experience in an environmental or education role is highly regarded.

Mansioni

• Develop and deliver environmental communications, including newsletters.
• Coordinate delivery of community environmental education opportunities, including workshops.
• Manage partnerships with existing delivery partners.
• Oversee a communications and education budget under the Team Leader Environmental Planning.
• Manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
• Deliver presentations to community and school groups as required.
• Develop the annual work program.
