Job summary

The Central Tanami Project Joint Venture (CTPJV) invites an Environmental Advisor to support the Environmental Management System, regulatory compliance, monitoring and reporting across the site during a critical restart phase.

Reporting to the Manager Environment and Approvals, you will balance field activities with compliance work, coordinate with regulators, contractors and crews, and help drive rehabilitation, fauna monitoring and continuous improvement in a remote mining environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 2–5 years' experience in a mining-related environmental role.
• Experience conducting environmental monitoring and field-based activities.
• Knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and approvals processes.
• Environmental data analysis and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• GIS (ArcGIS Pro) experience.
• Experience working within Northern Territory environmental approvals frameworks.
• Fauna or snake handling competency.
• Previous FIFO mining experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of environmental and heritage management programs and monitoring activities.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, compliance assessments and risk reviews.
• Maintain environmental compliance registers and track approval conditions.
• Assist with environmental incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Support environmental approvals, compliance reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Contribute to rehabilitation, environmental monitoring and heritage management programs.
• Assist with fauna and flora monitoring, weed inspections and field survey activities.
• Work closely with site personnel, contractors, consultants and regulators to support environmental outcomes
