Job summary

Marsh in Perth is seeking a talented Business Development / Sales Executive to generate new business across the corporate/mid-market and commercial space. You will build strong relationships, demonstrate Marsh's service offering, and drive growth through upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

You will manage accounts, use the Marsh CRM to track the sales funnel, and collaborate with marketing, risk leadership and practice leaders to win proposals and close deals.

Qualifications

• Previous sales/business development experience OR agency recruitment experience.
• Exceptional communication, influencing/selling, problem solving and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and organisational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and qualify prospect relationships including key contacts and financial data.
• Diligently manage a prospect pipeline and maintain regular communications to move opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Fully utilise Marsh CRM to manage sales funnel and provide real-time pipeline overview.
• Conduct target market and industry research with MMC Resource Centre to identify prospects and knowledge.
• Review and update databases to identify target portfolios and market opportunities.
• Identify improvement opportunities and new ways to streamline processes and drive growth.
• Leverage marketing channels, buying groups and association relationships.
• Create and manage individual development plans with financial goals, prospects and strategies.
• Identify and prioritise prospects with leadership input; lead proposals and presentations to address risk issues.
