Job summary

Federal Government Agency is seeking a Strategic Workforce Planning Lead to head the enterprise workforce planning function. You will unite workforce, operational and financial data to provide evidence-based insights for executive decisions.

You will establish planning frameworks, governance, and processes to embed workforce planning as a sustainable business function across the Agency. This role offers a chance to influence senior leaders and shape the future workforce of a large public sector

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading enterprise or strategic workforce planning functions.
• Experience developing workforce planning frameworks, methodologies and governance.
• Experience integrating workforce, operational and financial data.
• Proven capability in workforce forecasting, scenario planning and analytics.
• Experience preparing executive briefings and strategic advice.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience within large, complex organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and ongoing management of the agency's enterprise workforce planning framework and operating model.
• Integrate demand, supply, capability, workforce mix, financial and operational data to form a consolidated position.
• Design and evaluate scenarios, highlight risks and trade-offs.
• Provide strategic workforce planning advice to senior executives.
• Prepare executive briefings, position papers and reports.
• Establish governance, methodologies and assurance processes.
• Partner with leaders to identify workforce challenges and deliver solutions.
• Support forecasting, capability planning and investment decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement to raise planning maturity.
