Job summary

Raiz Invest Limited in Sydney, Australia, seeks an Enterprise Risk Lead to embed and maintain the Risk Management Framework and AML/CTF program, protecting customers, the business, and Raiz's licence to operate. Working with the CRO, you will translate the framework into day-to-day practices so risks are identified, owned, and managed across the Group.

You will lead the AML/CTF program, ensure timely AUSTRAC reporting, and provide Board‑ready insights.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in enterprise risk management within financial services, including implementing or embedding a risk management framework, risk appetite statement, risk registers, risk and control self‑assessments, and key risk indicators.
• Demonstrated experience managing AML/CTF programs end to end, including ML/TF risk assessment, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious matter reporting, and AUSTRAC compliance reporting.
• Working knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and Rules, including the AML/CTF reforms, and experience implementing regulatory change into policies, procedures, and systems.
• Experience operating within an AFSL environment, as a Responsible Entity or fund manager, with familiarity with the Corporations Act 2001 and ASIC regulatory expectations.
• Experience preparing risk and AML/CTF reports for Board, Risk Committees, and Executive leadership, translating technical findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Familiarity with technology and operational risk in a digital financial services environment, including digital identity verification and payments infrastructure (NPP, non-cash payment facilities).
• Experience engaging with regulators, independent reviewers, and third-party providers.
• Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional peers and key stakeholders to coordinate activities, align resources, and achieve shared business outcomes.
• Previous experience in training, mentoring, and coaching others to build risk and financial crime capability (highly valued).
• Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, business, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the embedding and ongoing application of Raiz's Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) across the Group, so risk is identified, assessed, owned, and managed consistently in day-to-day decision making.
• Maintain the enterprise risk register, facilitate risk and control self-assessments with risk owners, and develop and monitor key risk indicators against appetite and tolerance.
• Lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of the AML/CTF program, so ML/TF risk is assessed, financial crime controls operate effectively, and AUSTRAC reporting is accurate and on time. Act as (or directly support) the designated AML/CTF Compliance Officer.
• Prepare risk and AML/CTF reporting for the CRO, Risk Management Committee, Risk & Technology Committee, and Board that is accurate, timely, and decision ready.
• Build risk and AML/CTF capability across the business through training, guidance, and partnering, and role‑model behaviours that support a strong risk culture.
