Job summary

Stake is seeking a Senior AML/CTF Compliance Manager to lead our Risk & Compliance team in Sydney. This hands-on leadership role will evolve our AML/CTF program, ensuring it is robust, scalable and ready for future regulatory developments.

You will work across Product, Technology, Operations, Legal and senior leadership to embed practical controls and explore AI-enabled improvements. This role offers hybrid work with three days in our Sydney office, and the opportunity to influence strategy,

Qualifications

• Leads AML/CTF or broader financial crime programs within financial services or fintech.
• Translates complex regulatory requirements into practical decisions across the business.
• Balances strong risk management with commercial thinking and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build an AML/CTF program that regulators trust and that is scalable across the business.
• Lead response to regulatory change, turning obligations into practical improvements that strengthen controls.
• Shape financial crime risk management across new products, markets and customer experiences to enable innovation with proper risk.)
• Partner with Product, Technology and Operations to design controls that feel seamless for customers and teams.
• Lift the business' capability by making regulatory requirements easy to understand and act on.
• Use automation and AI to reduce manual effort while maintaining strong governance and oversight.
• Develop trusted relationships with regulators, executives and the Board through clear communication and reporting.
