Stake is seeking a Senior AML/CTF Compliance Manager to lead our Risk & Compliance team in Sydney. This hands-on leadership role will shape the evolution of our AML/CTF program, ensuring it is robust, scalable and aligned with regulatory expectations.

You will partner with Product, Technology and Operations to embed practical controls, leverage automation and AI, and build a high-performing function trusted by regulators, executives and the Board while supporting fast growth.

Qualifications

• You've led AML/CTF or broader financial crime programs within financial services or fintech and enjoy building as much as maintaining.
• You're comfortable operating as a strategic advisor while staying close to the detail when it matters.
• You know how to balance strong risk management with commercial thinking, helping teams move quickly without losing sight of customer outcomes.
• You're an exceptional communicator who can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical decisions across the business.
• You're excited by the opportunity to use technology, automation and AI to improve how compliance operates.
• You thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership is high, priorities evolve and every person has meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

• Build AML/CTF program that's trusted by regulators, scalable for growth and embedded across the business.
• Lead Stake's response to regulatory change, turning new obligations into practical improvements that strengthen controls.
• Shape how financial crime risk is managed across new products, markets and customer experiences, enabling innovation without compromising risk outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Technology and Operations to design controls that feel seamless for customers and practical for teams.
• Lift the capability of the business by making complex regulatory requirements easy to understand and act on.
• Use automation and AI to reduce manual effort across the financial crime program while maintaining strong governance and oversight.
• Build trusted relationships with regulators, executives and the Board through clear communication, thoughtful advice and high-quality reporting.
• Develop a high-performing financial crime function that continuously raises the bar as Stake grows.
