Job summary

Fyndr Group in Sydney is seeking a Java Technical Lead to lead an eight-person offshore engineering team, delivering complex customer solutions on our enterprise SaaS platform.

This hands-on role blends engineering leadership, customer delivery and solution design. You will review Java code, shape architecture, and ensure delivery milestones while maintaining engineering standards and coordinating with Delivery Managers.

Qualifications

• Strong professional Java software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern system design, scalable architecture, APIs and integrations.
• Experience leading the technical direction of a software delivery team.
• External customer-facing discovery and solution design experience.
• Engineering judgement to challenge designs and review code.
• Experience mentoring developers and improving engineering standards.
• Ability to work across customers, engineering and delivery stakeholders.
• Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, product engineering, consulting or systems integration environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of a team of eight offshore engineers.
• Act as a trusted solution architecture adviser to enterprise customers.
• Design APIs, system integrations and bespoke customer solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into practical technical designs.
• Review solution designs and Java code.
• Mentor engineers and create clarity, motivation and accountability across the team.
• Work with delivery leaders on planning, estimation, utilisation and customer milestones.
• Balance delivery speed with security, maintainability and long-term platform direction.
