Job summary

White Bay Search is seeking a Solution Technology Lead to provide technical leadership for a customer development team in a growing Australian SaaS business. You will translate requirements into practical engineering approaches, review designs and code, mentor developers and maintain scalable, maintainable customer solutions.

The role centers on strong Java/Spring expertise, leadership of offshore developers, and direct interaction with customers and senior stakeholders to shape delivery

Qualifications

• Background as a Java Technical Lead or similar role
• Strong Java and Spring/Spring Boot experience
• Experience leading software developers technically and operationally
• Ability to design solutions and architectures
• API, integration and distributed systems experience
• Experience working with offshore or distributed engineering teams
• Strong code review and governance experience
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Confidence dealing directly with customers and senior stakeholders
• Understanding of development capacity or utilization across multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately eight offshore developers delivering integrations, enhancements and customer-specific development around the platform
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Portfolio Management and the wider technology team to plan work, capacity and allocation
• Be the senior technical voice in customer conversations
• Translate requirements into engineering approaches, review designs and code, and mentor developers to keep solutions scalable and maintainable
• Balance conversations between the customer, developers and the delivery team to keep all moving forward
