Job summary

Fyndr Group in Sydney is seeking a Java Technical Lead to lead an eight-person offshore engineering team, delivering complex customer solutions on our enterprise SaaS platform.

This hands-on role blends engineering leadership, customer delivery and solution design. You will review Java code, shape architecture, and ensure delivery milestones while maintaining engineering standards and coordinating with Delivery Managers.

Qualifications

• Strong professional Java software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with modern system design, scalable architecture, APIs and integrations.

• External customer-facing discovery and solution design experience.

Lead an established team of eight engineers delivering complex customer solutions on a growing enterprise SaaS platform.

This is a hands‑on technical delivery role combining engineering leadership, customer delivery and solution design. You will work across multiple customer projects, helping to balance engineering capacity, priorities and realistic customer commitments.

You will remain close enough to the technology to review Java code, challenge designs and guide architectural decisions, but the broader responsibility is making sure the engineering capability delivers successfully for customers.

Formal people management sits with the offshore leadership team. Your role is to provide technical and delivery leadership, maintain engineering standards, keep the team focused and work closely with Delivery Managers on pipeline, capacity, estimates, priorities and customer commitments.

This would suit a Java Technical Lead, Engineering Lead or experienced Senior Java Engineer who has moved beyond pure technical leadership and already has strong customer‑facing delivery experience.
