Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect for Sydney-based hybrid work. You will own technical direction across application/solution, data, security and cloud/infrastructure architecture for client engagements and A&M's internal platforms.

This hands-on role includes discovery with stakeholders, prototype integrations, coding, and ensuring architectures meet production standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software engineering and architecture, including client-facing roles.
Experience architecting across application/solution, data, and security at enterprise scale.
Experience delivering on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and balancing cloud, hybrid, and on‑premises approaches.
Experience building full‑stack solutions that interface with enterprise systems and writing/ reviewing production code.
Experience architecting data and analytics systems on cloud platforms.
Experience engaging with client-side technical leads and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead in-depth technical discovery sessions to understand client requirements and architecture across domains.
Move from high-level architecture to low-level implementation, coding and deploying systems.
Architect and engineer enterprise-grade solutions with scalable infrastructure and managed platforms.
Build functional proofs-of-value and drive the pre-sales cycle from scoping to delivery.
Lead architecture reviews and governance, ensuring security, compliance, scalability and cost considerations.
