Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in Sydney is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the technical design of enterprise web applications across client delivery and internal platforms. You will own end-to-end systems from design to production support in a hands-on, production-grade role.

This hybrid role requires writing robust code, reasoning from first principles, and collaborating with stakeholders. A CS degree and 5 years in software across back-end and front-end with cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, Go)
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end and front-end technologies
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching production web applications
• 2 years of experience with software design and architecture, including cloud-native systems (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design of projects for client delivery and internal platform roadmaps, and implement a significant portion of those designs
• Design, build, and maintain full stack web applications for enterprise clients and internal platforms, owning features end-to-end
• Own front-end, back-end, APIs, and data layers from design through deployment and production support
• Conduct deep code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote testing discipline, CI/CD, and secure coding
• Act as a technical point of contact for stakeholders, translating technical decisions into business terms
