Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Enterprise Architect based in Sydney. The role blends hands-on development with architectural leadership across cloud, data, security, and infrastructure, working on client engagements and internal platforms.

You will drive target-state architecture, run discovery with stakeholders, and ensure scalable, secure solutions that align with enterprise objectives. Travel to client sites is expected 20–30% with hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software engineering and architecture, including time in an architecture-focused, client-facing role.
• Experience architecting across application/solution, data, and security architecture at enterprise scale.
• Experience designing and delivering on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and reasoning about tradeoffs between cloud, hybrid, and on-premises approaches.
• Experience building full-stack solutions that interface with enterprise systems, including writing and reviewing production code, with demonstrated depth in at least one major language or stack.
• Experience architecting data and analytics systems on cloud platforms.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, client-side technical leads and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-depth technical discovery sessions to understand client requirements across architecture domains.
• Define target-state architecture and run iterative workshops with stakeholders.
• Code, build, and deploy systems translating designs into functional realities.
• Architect enterprise-grade solutions including agentic workflows and AI applications.
• Oversee security, scalability, and cost at enterprise scale in governance reviews.
