Job summary

Optus is seeking an AI Automation Lead to drive AI innovation across our OSS environment and lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered automation solutions. You will mentor engineers and stay hands-on in delivery.

You will lead PoCs, pilots, and production deployments while shaping best practices in AI engineering, governance, and observability, collaborating with architecture, security, data, and platform stakeholders to deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI automation in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong API, CI/CD, and event-driven architecture expertise.
• Experience with LLM integrations and agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of AWS and Bedrock environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled automation solutions.
• Build and maintain Graph RAG, semantic search, and knowledge management capabilities.
• Lead proofs-of-concept, pilots, and production implementations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, automation specialists, and delivery teams.
