Job summary

Optus is seeking an AI Automation Solution Lead to shape how AI and automation transform our operations. Working across the OSS environment, you will design and deliver secure, scalable AI-powered solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology, automation, software engineering, OSS, integration, or AI-driven solution delivery initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong technical expertise across APIs, workflow orchestration, cloud-based architectures, CI/CD practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies including LLM integrations, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and responsible AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery, design, and delivery of AI-enabled automation solutions that improve operational workflows, intelligence, and service outcomes across OSS domains.
• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable solutions using AI technologies, workflow orchestration, APIs, agentic workflows, and reusable automation services.
• Partner with architecture, engineering, security, data, operations, and vendor teams to drive successful delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement of AI automation capabilities.
• Establish and champion engineering best practices including test-driven development, responsible AI principles, observability, governance, and operational readiness.
