Job summary

Randstad Australia is seeking a Service Engineer to join the repairs team for a 2-month contract, focusing on diagnostics, quoting and repair of Respiratory Care equipment.

You will test, calibrate and repair devices, maintain records, and generate service metrics in an ISO-accredited facility using SAP Business One.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 1 year in medical technologies or similar engineering role.
• Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of complex systems.
• SAP Business One experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrate, repair and replace parts of medical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service.
• Keep records of maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare repair quotations using SAP Business One and maintain service histories.
• Maintain calibration of test equipment.
• Generate end-of-month reporting and AU Service Metrics.
• Ship repaired devices to clients within SLA timelines; coordinate logistics.
• Diagnose healthcare equipment to quality standards.
• Invoicing using SAP Business One.
• Follow the fixed price repair process.

About the Role:

Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to work closely with the repairs team. Some of your duties will include diagnostics, quoting and repairing of Respiratory Care equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, calibrate, repair and replace parts of medical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and service
• Keep records of maintenance and repairs
• Spearheaded repair quotations using SAP Business One (SBO) and maintained detailed records of service histories, parts replacements, and assessment outcomes.
• Performed preventive maintenance, calibration, and documentation for in-house equipment, loaned devices, and ventilators in an ISO-accredited facility.
• Prepared monthly service metrics and technical reports to track repair outcomes and equipment reliability.
• Prepared and shipped repaired devices to clients within SLA timelines, coordinating logistics and documentation for seamless delivery.
• Diagnose healthcare equipment to quality standards
• Using SAP business one (SBO) for invoicing
• Follow the process for the Fixed Price Repair
• Maintain the calibration of test equipment
• Generate end of month reporting & update AU Service Metric

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering major.
• Minimum 1 year experience in medical technologies or similar electrical engineering roles.
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of technical complex systems
• Experience with SAP Business One is preferred but not essential
• Good communication skills - fluent in English, verbal and written.
