Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Mackay is seeking a field service engineer to service medical imaging systems across Australia. The role combines hands-on maintenance with travel to diverse hospital sites.

You will perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, installations, and work with local and international teams. The position requires a trade qualification or a university degree and willingness to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be trade qualified or university trained.
• Currently hold a restricted electrical licence is preferrable or able to obtain.
• Pride yourself on customer satisfaction and outcomes.
• Available to work overtime, shiftwork and weekends when required.
• Able to travel across state, interstate and overseas.
• Be able to provide evidence of your permanent work rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Visiting customer sites which include public/private hospitals, private clinics.
• Performing preventative maintenance, updates, upgrades, corrective service, and installations
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
• Maintaining and expanding your knowledge through continuous training, including self-learning, computer-based courses, mentorship and hands‑on experience
• Adhering to all Environmental, Health & Safety policies

This role offers a unique blend of hands‑on training locally in Australia and internationally, empowering you with knowledge and skills. We have a range of products across our Medical Imaging systems including but not limited to CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray and Nuclear medicine. Based out of Mackay with travel required.

A day in the life:
