Job summary

Identifly in Adelaide is seeking an Engineering Operations Manager to lead the Service Delivery function and provide direct leadership to Pod Leads, aligning workforce planning with client delivery and business priorities.

You will build a high‑performing engineering team, drive resource optimisation, and ensure compliance with timesheets, leave and performance processes while reporting to the Head of Engineering and COO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, cyber security or technology professional services.
• 3+ years of demonstrated people management experience.
• Proven experience with resource management, capacity planning and utilisation.
• Experience running performance management processes.
• Experience onboarding, professional development plans, and career progression.
• Experience building and maintaining operational KPI dashboards and reporting.
• Technical background in IT infrastructure or IAM (highly regarded).
• Experience with Jira and agile delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to Pod Leads.
• Coordinate recruitment, selection and onboarding of engineering staff.
• Manage HR matters including employee relations and performance management.
• Foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery, PMO, sales and leadership to plan resources.
• Ensure timely and accurate timesheet compliance and leave management.
• Contribute to operational planning and continuous improvement.
