Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide multidisciplinary teams across complex projects and operational environments. You will create conditions for teams to deliver quality outcomes by aligning people, priorities, governance and resources with program and customer needs.

In this role, you will lead engineering delivery, develop capability, and partner with program leaders to manage priorities and dependencies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering or technical teams in a complex project, product or operational environment.
• Capability in workforce planning, resource prioritisation, coaching and professional capability development.
• Knowledge of engineering lifecycle, technical governance, assurance, risk and quality management practices.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities across competing priorities and dependencies.
• Ability to engage customers, senior leaders, delivery teams and technical specialists.
• Ability to communicate technical and delivery matters clearly and support timely decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop engineering teams, including workforce planning, capability development and allocation of specialist resources.
• Oversee engineering delivery, ensuring technical activities are appropriately planned, governed and aligned with schedule, quality and risk expectations.
• Partner with program leaders, customers and technical authorities to resolve priorities, dependencies and engineering challenges.
• Improve engineering frameworks, assurance practices, knowledge sharing and collaboration across disciplines and delivery teams.
