Job summary

Babcock Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Systems Engineering and Integration Manager to lead the delivery stream for EDHFCS and related projects. You will provide technical direction, oversee lab facilities, and coordinate across Australian sites while driving lifecycle governance and continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive systems engineering experience within defence, strong leadership, and the ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
• Proven ability to manage an engineering function.
• Strong knowledge of PLM/MRP and design, simulation and analysis tools.
• Significant Systems Engineering experience in CASG or defence.
• Knowledge of HF communications security principles and related standards.
• Familiarity with ILS, RAM, Safety and E3 processes and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Systems Engineering and Integration delivery stream across EDHFCS projects.
• Provide technical direction and people leadership during lifecycle phases.
• Oversee D-Lab and SITL development and ongoing management.
• Coordinate integration activities across facilities and sites in Australia.
• Contribute to governance, engineering management docs, and customer engagement.
