Job summary

Zeal Futures is offering an Engineering Mechanical (Fitting & Machining) Apprenticeship in New South Wales. You’ll pursue a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical while working on mining machinery, performing maintenance and repairs on-site, and ensuring statutory compliance.

You’ll join a team-focused environment, attend an 8-week TAFE course starting January 2027, and build real career opportunities with mentoring and training support.

Job description

Engineering Mechanical (Fitting & Machining) Apprenticeship

Whilst studying a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical working with Peabody Energy over 4 years, you’ll have the opportunity to work on:

• General maintenance on mining machinery/equipment/site
• Perform planned maintenance and breakdown repairs of diesel mining equipment
• Statutory maintenance compliance of equipment, maintenance scheduled and reports
• Service and repair existing mining equipment
• Assist in general duties that are within the limits of the skills, competence, and ability of an apprentice.

Must-haves

• Current drivers licence (provisional or above)
• White Card
• Willingness to undergo a Coal Board Order 45 Medical, Functional, and Respirator Fit Test
