Job summary

Hexagon Mining is seeking an Engineering Manager to build and lead a high-performing engineering team delivering valuable, technically sound mining software solutions. You will be the DRI for a defined product area, combining people management with technical leadership.

You will guide design decisions, mentor contributors, and collaborate with Product Management, Operations, and Sales to align customer problems with practical, maintainable engineering outcomes across on-site environments in

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Engineering leadership experience, such as people leadership, technical leadership, project leadership, or a combination of these.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with complex, long-lived, customer-facing products.
• Strong technical knowledge of modern software engineering practices, architecture, design, testing, DevOps, and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical direction, support design decisions, validate estimates, mentor contributors, and help the team deliver technically sound outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product Management and other functions to understand customer and business problems, delivering valuable, usable, technically sound, maintainable solutions.
• Own outcomes including scope, schedule, and quality for agreed project deliverables.
• Maintain health and governance of the team's product, platform, or technology area and drive engineering culture across teams.
• Contribute to relationships between Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Sales, and other functions and evolve the Hexagon Mining technology platform.
