Job summary

The client is seeking an Engineering Manager to build and lead the engineering function in a bulk materials handling/mining environment. This leadership role emphasizes structure, accountability and strategic direction over day-to-day design work.

You will own engineering standards, workload visibility and the use of onshore and offshore resources, ensuring drawings, technical documentation and ERP data stay consistent across the business.

• Exposure to offshore engineering resources is advantageous.

They're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to build and lead their engineering function - this is a role focused on leadership, structure and accountability rather than day-to-day design work.

Our client is a well-established player in bulk materials handling and manufacturing, supplying equipment and engineering solutions into the mining sector. They're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to build and lead their engineering function - this is a role focused on leadership, structure and accountability rather than day-to-day design work.

You'll take ownership of engineering standards, workload visibility, and the utilisation of both onshore and offshore resources, while ensuring drawings, technical documentation and ERP data stay consistent and reliable across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of engineers, a senior engineer, drafters and external engineering partners
• Providing technical oversight and coordinating engineering checking and verification
• Establishing and maintaining engineering standards, templates and change control processes
• Managing engineering workload and priorities across onshore and offshore resources
• Supporting sales, operations and site teams with technical and applications engineering input
• Documenting and improving point cloud, 3D scanning and design workflows
• Attending customer sites and supporting technically driven opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Proven engineering leadership experience
• Background in bulk materials handling, manufacturing, mining or a related industry
• Exposure to Chinese manufacturing and offshore engineering resources highly regarded
• Working knowledge of CAD platforms and engineering data management
• Comfortable operating in a mining environment, including site visits
• Strong stakeholder management and the technical credibility to hold the line on quality
• Conveyor systems experience and existing mining customer relationships advantageous
