Job summary

RED is seeking an Engineering Manager in Australia to lead major engineering projects, coordinate building services design, and manage client relations across industrial facilities such as semiconductor plants, data centres and hotels.

You will guide teams, ensure technical excellence, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance, while embodying the firm’s ethics and commercial awareness in a hands-on consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in engineering is required or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in consultancy or construction preferred.
• Sustainability design experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate major engineering projects (mechanical or electrical).
• Manage project teams and coordinate with clients and contractors.
• Prepare and review feasibility studies, fee bids and project reports.
• Develop control systems and operating concepts for building services.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
• Represent the company at technical meetings with clients and teams.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and performance with internal controls.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to less experienced staff.
