Job summary

RED, a company of Tractebel, seeks an Electrical Engineer to be based in our Sydney office. You will lead small and large projects, coordinate building services design, and engage with clients on data centre and hospitality sector projects.

Essentially hands-on with strong knowledge of BS standards and safety requirements, you will support coordination, design, and development of engineering solutions for commercial, hotel, and leisure sectors in Australia.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and clients.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety issues and legislation.
• Background in building services consultancy or design preferred.
• Ability to run small and large projects with client-facing responsibilities.
• Good understanding of BS standards and ability to apply calculations.

Responsibilities

• Run small and large projects and coordinate engineering project services.
• Develop and specify controls, instruments, and operating systems for building services.
• Survey tests and report on existing electrical/mechanical installations.
• Ensure calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
• Represent company at technical meetings with customers and contractors.
• Prepare specification modifications (Word or Excel).
• Validate input from Intermediate & Graduate Engineers into designs.
