Job summary

RED, a company of Tractebel, seeks an Electrical Engineer for our Sydney office to manage building services design and coordination on varied projects including data centres, commercial, hotel, and retail sectors.

You will lead small and large projects, coordinate with clients and contractors, and bring strong communication and technical skills. Salary AUD 90,000 per year and a hands-on, consultancy mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
• Proficient with MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
• Good understanding of BS standards.
• Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
• Managerial skills and ethical conduct per company guidelines.
• Background in consulting or construction preferred.
• Experience in client-facing roles and coordination of engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Run small and large sized projects and coordinate engineering project services.
• Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for building services.
• Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations.
• Specifies activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation and testing meet specifications and customer needs.
• Represents company at technical meetings with customers and contractors.
• Preparation of specification modifications (Word or Excel).
• Ensure calculations and drawings meet robust industry and legal standards.
• Validate input from Intermediate & Graduate Engineer into designs.
