Job summary

Commonwealth Bank of Australia seeks an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering across Customer Communication Management (CCM) and eSigning products, including OpenText Exstream and DocuSign.

You will provide technical and people leadership, shape our engineering strategy and roadmap, and develop high-performing teams responsible for critical customer communication and digital signing capabilities.

• Proven experience leading engineering in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong ability to influence architecture and technology decisions.
• Experience coaching engineers and building inclusive, high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams across CCM and eSigning.
• Shape and deliver the engineering strategy and roadmaps.
• Modernise and simplify the technology estate for resilience and security.
• Champion engineering excellence through automation, DevSecOps, observability and full-cycle ownership.
• Partner with Product and Architecture to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Strengthen production health and operational resilience with security practices.
• Build engineering capability through coaching, mentoring and career development.
• Identify opportunities to use AI and emerging tech to improve productivity.
