Job summary

Commonwealth Bank is seeking an experienced engineering leader to guide and grow high-performing teams across Customer Communication Management and eSigning. Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in complex enterprise technology environments.
• Strong technical leadership to influence architecture, strategy and technology decisions.
• Track record coaching and developing engineers and building inclusive, high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices: cloud, APIs, CI/CD, DevSecOps, automation and observability.
• Experience modernising enterprise platforms for resilience, security and maintainability.
• Strong stakeholder leadership across complex priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop high-performing engineering teams across Customer Communication Management and eSigning.
• Shape and deliver the engineering strategy and technical roadmap for customer communication and digital signing capabilities.
• Lead modernisation and simplification of the technology estate, improving resilience, security, supportability and maintainability.
• Champion engineering excellence through automation, DevSecOps, quality engineering, observability and full-cycle ownership.
• Partner with Product and Architecture to deliver secure, resilient, scalable solutions aligned to outcomes.
• Strengthen production health and operational resilience with strong technology risk and security practices.
• Build engineering capability through coaching, recruitment and continuous learning.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and emerging tech to improve productivity.
