Job summary

Hastings Deering (Sime) is seeking a motivated engineering graduate for a two-year development program designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines and operational areas. Rotations will span electrical and mechatronic-focused projects in a large, global organisation.

Participants develop technical and professional skills through mentoring, structured learning activities and real project exposure, with a pathway to permanent roles at program completion.

Qualifications

• Be a recent graduate (0-2 years) or in your final year of study in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronic preferred)
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and technical aptitude
• Have effective communication and teamwork skills
• Show an interest in industrial operations, equipment, or large-scale infrastructure
• Be proactive, adaptable and eager to learn

Responsibilities

• Rotations will span a range of engineering disciplines and operational areas.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about applying technical knowledge in real-world environments and developing their career within a large, complex industrial organisation.

You will join a two-year graduate development program designed to provide hands‑on experience, exposure to real engineering projects, and insight into end-to-end operations. Rotations will span a range of engineering disciplines and operational areas.
