Job summary

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operation is seeking an Underground Mining Engineer to design and schedule safe, efficient underground production. Reporting to Senior Mining Engineer, you will work on expanding underground operations, contributing to the 2.0Mt to 2.4Mt plan, flexible relocation options, 8:6 roster, 12-hour shifts, residential or DIDO.

Suitable candidates hold a mining engineering degree, 2–5 years underground experience, NSW regulations knowledge, and proficiency with Deswik CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years underground mining experience.
• Familiarity with NSW regulatory frameworks and risk management.
• Proficiency with Deswik CAD and Interactive Scheduler.

About the Role

Join Evolution Mining at our Cowal Gold Operation as an Underground Mining Engineer and play a key role in supporting our expanding underground operations. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for generating mine designs and schedules that drive safe and efficient production outcomes.

This is a residential or DIDO opportunity on an 8:6 roster, working 12 hour shifts. You’ll be part of a collaborative and growing team, contributing to a site that is increasing production from 2.0Mt to 2.4Mt. With exposure to multiple mining disciplines and a strong focus on continuous improvement, this role offers excellent development opportunities in a supportive environment.

You’ll also benefit from:

About You

You are a motivated and safety conscious Mining Engineer with a passion for underground operations and a desire to grow your career in a dynamic environment.

You bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• 2–5 years’ experience in underground mining (startup experience advantageous)
• Familiarity with NSW regulatory frameworks and risk management practices
• Proficiency in mine design software, ideally Deswik CAD and Interactive Scheduler
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
