Job summary

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Qualifications in Science Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach Science across Years 7-10.
• Capacity to teach one or more VCE Science subjects, with previous VCE teaching experience preferred.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and evidence-based teaching practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality science programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE Study Designs.
• Teach Science across Years 7-10, incorporating inquiry-based and evidence-informed teaching practices.
• Differentiate learning programs to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Use assessment and student data to inform planning and improve student outcomes.
• Integrate literacy, numeracy and critical thinking skills into science teaching.
• Teach VCE Science subjects as required, with experience in VCE Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology or Environmental Science viewed favourably.
