Job summary

AEMO, Australia’s independent energy system and market operator and planner, is seeking a Manager - Strategy to shape its future direction and navigate the evolving energy landscape. You will analyse industry trends, inform critical organisational decisions and mentor junior staff within a high-performing Corporate Strategy team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated energy industry knowledge or top-tier strategy/management consulting experience.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Proven ability to model and synthesize data into clear insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication to executive/Board levels.
• Ability to build relationships across the organisation and drive alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of strategic insights to inform long-term strategy and priorities.
• Analyse complex issues and provide evidence-based recommendations for Executive Leadership Team and Board.
• Monitor energy sector developments to identify opportunities, risks and best-practice insights.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to shape five-year roadmaps and align priorities with financial plans.
• Develop high-quality strategy papers and mentor junior team members.
