Job summary

ATCO Australia is seeking an experienced Technical Solutions Lead to translate customer needs into safe, practical and commercially viable energy solutions across the thermal, renewable, and infrastructure sectors. You will work at the front end of major projects, partnering with customers from concept through to proposal and handover.

This role requires strong technical expertise in energy technologies, plus proven ability to develop customer proposals, cost estimates and collaborative delivery

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer with experience in energy solutions across energy, utilities, infrastructure or renewable sectors.
• Strong knowledge of thermal and renewable energy technologies, hybrid power systems, energy storage and gas infrastructure.
• Proven experience developing customer proposals, technical submissions, cost estimates and commercially viable project solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to evaluate technologies and translate customer requirements into practical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements and commercial drivers.
• Lead development and documentation of innovative, commercially competitive energy solutions from concept to proposal submission.
• Support business development through technical engagement, workshops and customer discussions.
• Prepare technical documentation, scopes, cost estimates and bid submissions for successful outcomes.
• Assess emerging technologies, suppliers and delivery models to strengthen ATCO's offering.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, finance and delivery teams to develop practical, executable solutions.
