ATCO Gas Australia seeks an experienced Technical Solutions Lead to translate customer requirements into safe, practical and commercially viable energy solutions across thermal, renewable, and gas infrastructure. You will engage with customers and lead ideas from concept through proposal to delivery, influencing outcomes and value creation.

ATCO is looking for an experienced Technical Solutions Lead to join the team and play a key role in developing innovative, practical and commercially competitive energy solutions for our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the front end of major projects, partnering with customers, evaluating emerging technologies and bringing solutions to life. You'll work across the full opportunity lifecycle, from initial customer engagement and concept development through to proposal submission and handover to project delivery.

What you'll be doing

As the Technical Solutions Lead, you'll be responsible for translating customer requirements into safe, practical and commercially viable solutions that support both customer outcomes and ATCO's growth strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to understand project objectives, technical requirements and commercial drivers.
• Lead the development and documentation of innovative and commercially competitive energy solutions from concept through to proposal submission.
• Support business development activities through technical engagement, workshops, presentations and customer solution discussions.
• Prepare technical documentation, scopes, cost estimates and bid submissions to support successful project outcomes.
• Assess emerging technologies, suppliers and delivery models to strengthen ATCO's market offering and customer value proposition.
• Collaborate across engineering, procurement, finance and project delivery teams to develop practical, executable solutions and support a seamless transition into delivery.

What you'll bring

We're looking for a technically strong and commercially minded professional who can engage confidently with customers and stakeholders while developing practical and innovative energy solutions.

You'll ideally have:

• Degree-qualified Engineer with experience developing technical solutions across the energy, utilities, infrastructure or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of thermal and renewable energy technologies, hybrid power systems, energy storage and gas infrastructure.
• Proven experience developing customer proposals, technical submissions, cost estimates and commercially viable project solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to evaluate technologies and suppliers, manage project risks and translate customer requirements into practical, executable outcomes.
