An exciting opportunity has become available to join AGL’s Energy Solutions Team. As the Lead Development Engineer, you’ll lead the technical development of complex hybrid microgrid projects from early-stage opportunity through to financial close and handover to the project delivery team. Working across solar PV, battery energy storage, thermal generation and high-voltage electrical infrastructure, you’ll lead a team of Engineers to develop solutions that are technically sound, commercially optimised and deliverable within regulatory and operational requirements. The role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
You are an established Electrical Engineer who has previous experience in the renewables industry, working with sales teams and developing solutions. Your ability to become the technical representative of our solutions to our customers and present to them in a professional manner will guarantee your success in this role. In addition to the above you will have: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and working towards Chartered status with Engineers Australia, or equivalent. Experience in power systems modelling, electrical design, systems integration and leading multidisciplinary engineering projects. Strong technical, organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills. Renewable energy experience, including large-scale solar or battery energy storage systems connected to high-voltage networks are highly desired.
