Job summary

Lifeline Retail is seeking a Sorting, Production and Merchandise Clearance Supervisor on a permanent full-time basis at our Sunshine Coast warehouse. You will lead sorting, production and clearance operations, and drive efficiency from receipt of goods through to final clearance.

You will coach staff and volunteers, collaborate with store teams, monitor performance, and implement strategies to improve profitability while ensuring safety and compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supervising staff and volunteers in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including stock flow, inventory management, and production workflows.
• Experience in retail operations, including merchandising, pricing, and monitoring sales performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate and resolve operational challenges.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Retail, Warehousing, Logistics or Business is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all aspects of the sorting, production, and merchandise clearance operations, ensuring integration and efficiency across the end-to-end process.
• Provide formal leadership to the Sorter team and build productive relationships with store teams including staff and volunteers, assisting in achievement of financial targets.
• Monitor industry trends and best practice in retail and warehouse management, applying relevant learnings to the local context.
• Identify and implement strategies to maximise profitability, including stock management, pricing, merchandising, and promotional activities.
• Take accountability for contributing to achieving budgeted revenue and expense targets for the warehouse and clearance program, including monitoring and reporting on financial performance.
• Produce and update rosters, adjusting tasks based on daily workflow requirements.
• Analyse business performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to the Business Manager.
• Oversee the management of GST delivery, daily fulfilment of shop orders, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational data.
• Represent the warehouse and Clearance Function in organisational meetings, projects, and initiatives as required.
• Provide coaching and support to team members in the Warehouse and stores to foster engagement, accountability and cross unit collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with organisational safety standards and promote a culture of safety.
