Job summary

Reo Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Accountant in Sydney, NSW, offering broad exposure across P2P, AP, AR, inventory and month-end processes. The role involves end-to-end finance activity, working closely with senior leadership in a lean, hands-on environment.

The successful candidate will have SAP experience, strong Excel skills, and a drive to improve processes while supporting procurement and inventory functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in accounting, AP, P2P or inventory functions.
• SAP experience is essential with PO functionality.
• Intermediate Excel skills and exposure to inventory/logistics are advantageous.
• Comfortable working in a proactive, hands-on, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Procure-to-Pay activities including POs, invoices, approvals and payment preparation.
• Take ownership of Accounts Payable from invoice receipt to payment runs and supplier queries.
• Support procurement and purchasing activities with accurate recording and documentation.
• Assist with inventory and stock-related processes, including reporting and reconciliations.
• Complete bank, general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and prepare month-end journals.
