Job summary

TwoScots Recruitment in Melbourne's South Yarra is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to own day-to-day accounts payable and support receivables across multiple sites. This full-time, in-office role handles a high-volume workload across multiple entities, driving process improvements as the business scales and supporting month-end activities.

The successful candidate will bring experience with AP automation tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, D365) and strong Excel skills to

Qualifications

At least two to three years' experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping or an Assistant Accountant role
Experience processing high volumes across multiple sites, entities or subsidiaries
Strong end-to-end accounts payable knowledge
Experience with AP automation platforms such as Medius, Coupa or Basware
Exposure to larger ERP systems such as SAP, Netsuite, D365
Experience supporting systems implementations, finance projects or transformation initiatives
Intermediate Excel skills

Responsibilities

Processing approximately 2,500 accounts payable invoices each month
Managing fortnightly payment runs and employee reimbursements
Completing bank, credit card, supplier statement and subledger reconciliations
Supporting accounts receivable, invoicing and collections
Assisting with journals, accruals and month-end reporting
Monitoring AP automation metrics and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
Supporting finance projects, systems improvements and broader transformation initiatives
