Job summary

Life Without Barriers is hiring a Disability Support Worker for a permanent part-time role in New South Wales. The role involves person-centred active support for people with disability, including daily living assistance, personal care, and advocacy for client choice.

Flexible shifts are required across two weekly rosters with weekend availability. Probity checks are mandatory, and a valid NSW driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold NSW driver's license and be able to drive a large van.
• Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.
• Willing to undergo probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred active support to people living with disability.
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support clients to reach goals through meaningful activities of their choice.
• Encourage participation in meal planning and preparation.
• Maintain a safe, organized home environment and accurate records.
• Build relationships with clients, families and team; advocate for client choice and control.
