Job summary

Life Without Barriers is recruiting a Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred active support to people living with disability. You may work across Supported Independent Living and in clients' homes, with a 24/7 roster and shifts including sleepovers.

The role requires a NSW driver's license, basic tech skills, and a current First Aid Certificate. You will participate in probity checks and contribute to safe, respectful care delivery.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NSW driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop.
• First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.
• Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred active support to people living with disability.
• Support clients with mental health challenges, complex needs and high behaviours.
• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing) and manual handling.
• Be available for short-notice shifts and sleepovers (essential).
• Implement person-centred active support and follow behaviour support plans.
• Log daily care and changes in needs to ensure informed, coordinated support.
