Job summary

Life Without Barriers in Sydney is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Disability Support Worker for Chifley to provide person-centred care and daily living assistance within a Supported Independent Living program.

You will support health needs, mealtime routines, mobility, and community access while maintaining safety and dignity. The role requires experience with complex care, completion of probity checks, and commitment to inclusive, respectful service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with high physical support needs and complex care requirements.
• Previous SIL or group home experience preferred.
• Manual handling experience required or trained.
• Ability to drive a large wheelchair van is advantageous.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans.
• Provide support with daily personal activities.
• Maintain thorough record keeping.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues.
• Advocate for client choice and control.
