Job summary

Life Without Barriers is hiring a Disability Support Worker in Dubbo, NSW. The role provides person-centred active support in Supported Independent Living settings, including personal care and daily living tasks. A permanent part-time position is available with fixed shift hours across two weeks.

Applicants must be available for all shifts. Responsibilities include assisting clients to achieve goals, planning meals, maintaining a safe home, and documenting changes.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NSW driver’s licence and ability to drive a large van.
• Basic technology use on mobile and desktop devices.
• Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred active support.
• Support clients in Shared Independent Living (SIL) settings.
• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Encourage engagement in meaningful activities chosen by clients.
• Support meal planning and preparation.
• Help maintain a safe, tidy home environment.
• Document changing client needs through records.
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and team.
