Job summary

Scope Australia in Orange NSW is seeking a casual Support Worker to empower and inspire adults with complex mental health needs in a supported independent living setting. You will follow clinical care plans, support daily routines, and help build skills across personal care, budgeting, and community access.

Applicants should have reliable transport, a valid NSW driver licence, and availability for a roster that may include mornings, evenings, sleepovers, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Regular access to own car and a P2 NSW Driver Licence or higher is required.
• Flexible availability across a roster including AM, split shift, PM and sleepovers.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with complex mental health and psychosocial disabilities in an independent living model.
• Rigorously follow BIS and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site manager to best support complex behaviours.
• Encourage capacity building to enhance clients’ skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
• Promote choice and control and show eagerness to participate in clients’ day-to-day routines, goals and interests.
• Be efficient in computer skills and report writing.
