Job summary

Mylestones Solutions in Cairns is seeking an Employment Support Worker who is passionate about social impact and helping people with disabilities find meaningful employment. You’ll work hands-on, supporting participants to develop practical skills, confidence and work readiness through gardening and grounds maintenance in community settings.

You’ll coach and supervise participants, use gardening equipment safely, monitor progress and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality services.

What wilI I be doing?

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside participants, supporting them to develop practical skills, confidence, and work readiness through real, community-based gardening and grounds maintenance work.

This could include:

Support and coach supported employees to build skills, independence, and workplace capability.

Using and maintaining gardening and horticultural equipment in line with safety requirements.

Lead and supervise garden crew operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Monitor employee progress and performance, providing regular feedback and collaborating with stakeholders to support development outcome.

Prepare quotations, assess customer requirements, and coordinate resources to deliver quality gardening and grounds maintenance services.

What you’ll need
