Job summary

Sureway Employment is seeking an Employment Consultant to support a caseload of participants on their journey to work. You will build relationships with local employers and actively connect participants to opportunities, including those with disability supports.

You will promote candidates’ strengths and help them achieve sustainable employment through proactive coaching and follow-up. Ideal candidates are curious, proactive, and eager to learn, with strong organisational skills to stay on top

Responsibilities

• Setting clear employment goals and action plans with participants
• Actively building relationships with local employers to create job opportunities
• Promoting participants’ strengths and matching them to suitable roles
• Supporting participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment
• Identifying barriers and coordinating support services or training where needed
• Managing your own caseload, priorities, and follow-ups to keep things moving
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting program compliance requirements
• Representing Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections

You will partnerwith people with a disability to understand their goals, build their confidenceand skills, and actively connect them with employers. Success in this rolecomes from your ability to engage people, stay organised, and keep momentum especiallywhen things get challenging.

You don’t needdirect industry experience, but you do need to be curious, proactive, andwilling to learn quickly. We’re looking for people who come prepared, takeinitiative, and back themselves to build strong relationships in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working one-on-one with participants to setclear employment goals and action plans
• Actively building relationships with localemployers to create job opportunities
• Promoting participants’ strengths and matchingthem to suitable roles
• Supporting participants before and afterplacement to ensure sustainable employment
