Job summary

Sureway Employment in NSW, Sydney, seeks an Employment Consultant to help participants take ownership of their journey to work. You will build relationships with employers, promote strengths, and connect participants with opportunities while partnering with people with a disability to reach their goals.

You don’t need direct industry experience, but you must be curious, proactive, and ready to learn quickly. A National Police Check and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with participants to set employment goals and action plans.
• Actively build relationships with local employers to create job opportunities.
• Promote participants’ strengths and matching them to suitable roles.
• Support participants before and after placement to ensure sustainable employment.
• Identify barriers and coordinate support services or training where needed.
• Manage caseloads, priorities and follow-ups to keep things moving.
• Maintain accurate records and meet program compliance requirements.
• Represent Sureway in the local community to build awareness and connections.

As an Employment Consultant, you will support your caseloadof participants to take ownership of their journey to work. You will buildrelationships, identify opportunities, and actively connect participants withemployers.

You will partner with people with a disability to understandtheir goals, build their confidence and skills, and actively connect them withemployers. Success in this role comes from your ability to engage people, stayorganised, and keep momentum especially when things get challenging.

You don’t need direct industry experience, but you do needto be curious, proactive, and willing to learn quickly. We’re looking forpeople who come prepared, take initiative, and back themselves to build strongrelationships in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing
