Job summary

VERTO is seeking an Employer Engagement Consultant based in Ballina, NSW, to connect local businesses with VERTO participants seeking work. You will visit sites across the North Coast, build strong employer relationships, advocate for participants, and help match job seekers with suitable roles.

Responsibilities include engaging employers, promoting inclusive hiring, collaborating with case managers, and expanding VERTO’s regional footprint to support local businesses and job seekers.

Full-time position based in Ballina servicing the North Coast.

As an Employer Engagement Consultant with VERTO, you will play a key role in connecting businesses with VERTO participants looking to secure work. Visiting sites throughout the region, you will develop strong employer relationships, advocate for our participants, and drive positive social change. Your work will help individuals gain meaningful employment while supporting local businesses in finding suitable staffing solutions.

About the role

• Engaging with employers to build and maintain relationships with businesses to identify job vacancies and workforce needs.
• Advocating for participants to promote inclusive hiring practices and create opportunities for individuals looking for work.
• Collaborating with case managers and working closely with our team to match participants with suitable roles.
• Expanding VERTO’s presence to strengthen our community connections and enhance VERTO’s impact across the region.

About you

• A people-person who loves building relationships and making connections.
• Strong communication skills with confidence when talking to employers and community groups.
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving.
• Basic admin and computer skills, no need to be an expert, just comfortable with systems.
• Experience in employment services is desirable but not essential.
• Office located in Ballina however a current driver’s license and the willingness work from VERTO sites across your region regularly will be required.
