Job summary

Moree District Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead the Emergency Department. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and developing a cohesive, high-performing team in a supportive ED environment.

You will coordinate clinical and administrative duties, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement while partnering with the Health Service Manager and multidisciplinary staff across the ED.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Postgraduate qualifications in clinical leadership or management, or currently enrolled.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, operational and professional leadership for the nursing team.
• Coordinate safe, efficient and patient-centred care across the unit.
• Lead workforce planning, rostering, performance management and staff development.
• Manage human, financial and physical resources to achieve service goals.
